A cup of Jeau ft. Toria
Before we really started the interview I found out that Toria lives at least a forty-five minutes to an hour away from me, which is pretty cool! Toria is known for her very uniquely modern pieces and for her new pieces which are inspired by her fashion muses.
Hey Toria, let’s start with a little introduction about you?
“My name is Victoria, but people usually call me Vicky, I am 20 years old, and from Toronto, Canada.”
What led you to designing on IMVU? How long does it take you to produce one outfit? Or item?
“Well at first it started with learning how to edit photos, graphic designing, then I noticed that creating texture was kind of easy because the editing skills were already there. I practiced a bit and Voila! It takes about an hour to do the outfits but on my lazy moments it could take an entire day.”
Your new collection that you added to you catalog, how did you come up with it? What were some of your inspirations?
“Well, I am a HUGE fan of designer the Valentino & Kenzo so I’ve studying their newest additions to their SS14 collection, made some remixes to it to make it you know more appealing to the IMVU community, and appropriate for the summer-ish theme going on IMVU.”
Who are your favorite developers on IMVU?
“Hmm… Blaise, Mahogany, Milian, Stanch, Gwen and Myself, (if that counts)”
Do you consider yourself an Artist because you are a developer?
“I never really thought of it like that, but now you’ve got me thinking. So yeah kind of, I mean it takes time to create these stuff sometimes, from the graphic designing and everything, it’s all art I guess.”
How did your fashion show for your new collection go?
“It was fabulous! There were some last minute delays due to a situation with of the models, but overall it was lovely, the people enjoyed it, I guess that is all that mattered.”
What advice do you have for aspiring fashion designers?
“As cliché as it might sound, don’t give up, keep working toward your success. Be unique and be yourself!”
Would you rather get 10 million dollars immediately and not find true love until you’re about to die or find true love immediately after you decline the 10 million dollars?
“Oh that’s hard, I am going to take the 10 million dollars immediately and not find true love until I am about to die… we shall continue our love on the other side of life… LOL”
Would you rather live without music or live without T.V.?
“T.V definitely, I am a music fanatic, I even sing 24/7 I don’t know what I would do without it LOL.”
Would you rather give up your computer/laptop or give up your pet?
“Give up my pet… since I don’t have one… but sadly my computer is my baby ♥”

Like… no.
So, I am venting and you don’t have to read it but if I posted it here its probably because I want you to, so here goes nothing.
My relationship life has been nothing but static! Why do I say this? because its between the same two people who go back and forth with me. When I get with one the other one pops up from absolutely no where! I mean where were you 4 months ago when I was single?! You decide to come back into my life when I am taken and happy? Like no… seriously no… uh uh! That’s the devil right there.
He start bringing up the past as if that is supposed to mean something to me? I have had a series of strange ass guys, and I can usually detect bullshit from 10,000 miles away, starting with when you come into a room, your appearance, how you speak, how you think. So when you invite me into a chat (first of all I am absolutely stupid for accepting!) I already know your reaction “Hunty!” I just wanna see how it plays out and its always the same way!
I am just going to stick to my guts from now on, if I know you’re not worth my while I won’t even think twice about speaking with you. Especially when it comes to exes because they seem to come towards me like magnets when I end up in a relationship again.

Hello lovelies! Yup, I’m sitting beside Mun in that picture, as most of you should know, Mun is a fashion designer on IMVU, she creates outfits that she believes in and loves. I got to have a chat with her and find out her beginnings and other questions. So read on and enjoy!
Let’s start with a little introduction about on you…
“My name is Carolina, but you may call me Carro, I am 26 turning 27 this Friday, and I am from Portugal.”
How long have you been a designer and who are your fashion inspirations in reality and on IMVU?
“I’ve been a designer for almost 3 years and It took a lot of practice to start getting good at it…I don’t have any inspiration in reality or on IMVU. I just do what comes to my mind…I check some clothes out in reality just to have an idea…but not any particular design or artist… If it’s pretty to me, I take inspiration from that…”
Favorite developers…
“For clothes, I have no one really. However for skins, yes for skins I love xowhitediamond and Scarling they make a great job also love dollfies too.”
How did you start developing? Was there a process you had to go through?
“I love art, all related to it…and fashion is another way of expressing art. First I started creating for fun. I tried to see if I could create and also because I love Photoshop and learning more from it was an advantage when it comes to creating. Then obviously making products could get me some credits, so I wouldn’t have to buy credits from IMVU all the time. Plus I like to make my own clothes and see people buying it and being happy with them too.”
How long does it take you to make outfits? Because I notice they are so detailed.
“Well, it depends on the outfit and the texture. If it is a mesh product then maybe 5 – 20 minutes per outfit. Then designing the opacity map can take more time”
Would you consider yourself an Artist?
“Not exactly, I don’t stand out. I just do things my own way with my own style not that stands out. Even if I wasn’t the one who made the mesh in 3Dmax, there is still a part of me in it when it comes to the texture”
What are your likes and dislikes about creating?
“Okay my likes are as follows, the fact you can create anything you want and change everything, the creativeness and the fact Mesh makers exist and we can design our shape through their meshes (That’s a big bonus). My dislikes are also as follows; the thieves, who want to take our products for their own, stealing textures or even getting your idea, copying your style. When you have billions of ideas for a product people do tend to repeat stuff too much.”
What advice do you have for aspiring fashion designers?
“Never give up, it may be hard at the beginning, but with time you can be just as good as the great developers…the more you practice, the better you get…If someone comes to ask you help, do not deny them help. It’s always good to have someone who can support us. If you need more inspiration, easy, just check clothes in reality. Take some inspiration from it and push on.”

Would you rather have the ability to read minds and not be able to speak or be the ability to just read?
“That’s a tricky question, but I’d prefer just to read books and magazines. So having the ability to just read”

“I don’t know!!! Probably receive the bad advice!!”

All in a day’s work…
Hi beautiful people of IMVU, So I was working with xxHotxFeebzxx (Cosmin), he is a model and a model competition owner, we were talking and we ended up editing he was so kind that she taught me how to edit IMVU avatars! I have to admit it has been a challenge of mine for quite some time. I was never perfect at it, YouTube videos do NOT do it justice. at all. YouTube videos are more for the advanced class.
I watched him on join.me and I took notes on how he was working on this! So, so SO helpful and this is my first one!!!! I think it needs work, there are little issues here and there but you’ve got to admit, it’s pretty good for my first time, especially since I did this with my mouse and no tablet – Ain’t nobody got money for that – I love how it turned out. Soon enough I might be good at this, who knows.
Also I’m so happy about another thing, a member of IMVU, lEille, sent an email. She told me how much the blog – I am Jeau – is helping her and I am just happy. Flat out happy. I’m on cloud ten! So if any of you are reading this blog or even paying the slightest bit of attention to it, thank you! Thank you so much. I know at a point I wanted to give up on the blog because I felt like it was too much but then I realized I was in charge of the blog and I can post what I want when I want ( but there is a thin line on “what I want.” ).

Today I got the pleasure of meeting and talking to Kalifornia on her latest “Vita EST 2014 SS14” Collection that she just newly released. I got to know a bit about her as a person and a lot about her come back, she has been on a hiatus for quite a while but we’re going to go a bit inept as to why, also I learned a bit on her muses and how she is in-cooperating them into her new catalog. Without a waste of time let’s begin:

Tell me a bit about your background and yourself?
My name’s Ashly, I am a sophomore in high school and I live in NY. I started developing on IMVU 2 years ago and was at first very inspired by Andy Warhol, Nicki Minaj and icons who are well known for their uses of color but after I came back from my break I’ve become more inspired by designers such as Alexander Wang, Karl Lagerfeld, Diane von Furstenberg and Donatella Versace.
What led you into becoming an IMVU fashion designer?
I started designing on IMVU because I felt there was some stuff missing on IMVU that I wanted to see in the catalog I basically started developing for myself and my friends, making customs for people.
Who are your favorite designers on IMVU?
Pierce, Chyere, Stussy, MissC, Partition
So you were on a long hiatus what caused you to take a break?
I started focusing on school and my real life, and I felt like I’ve done everything I ever wanted to do on IMVU and IMVU was taking a bit of a toll in my real life, I was submitting every day and my schoolwork was being neglected.
So now that you’re back from your hiatus and you’re pumped with all these new muses (inspirations), should the fashion community on IMVU be expecting something very new and different in your new catalog/collection?
Yes, I have some big things planned with some other amazing developers on IMVU for this summer along with much collaboration and new collections.
Now on to your fashion show, how big was the preparation for it? Could you give me an insight on what steps you had to take to get to this point?
I started preparing for my fashion show a month in advance. The show occurred on April 18th; where one was invite only and the other was that you would have to sign up for it on the group pages. It was a very long process but I got a majority of the work finished during spring break which was really a drag because my friends would just pop in uninvited and basically kidnap me to go out.

A little update.
I changed my blog! I did. It’s now called “I am Jeau”. I like the name. It doesn’t circle around fashion a lot, so kind of gives me the freedom to write what I want you know? Plus its me. Now I have to come up with a new signature other than Profashionelle. I will miss that name, I guess it will stick with me a while.
I am now Co-owner at Verum Model Management, I have been with this group (which PrinceTy runs) for a while now. I love the group as a whole and I can’t want to see the amazing thing that will occur over the next couple of months.

We’ve turned from mother and daughter to very good friends, we relate to one another and talk… a lot (when we have the chance) Both BUSY AS BEES! But somehow we make it work! I’m glad she hasn’t given up on me and I haven’t given up on her either. Love you Mo!
