I’m back! I left because I think it was the hardest year for me in 2017 and a lot of things happened to me between then and now… I don’t know if I am ready to discuss it really but I’m happy I am loved. I will discuss more on that on a later post. I am happy to be back.
Hi everyone, so I have been getting requests to link the items of products I use for the Saje Fits because it is hard to find sometimes in the catalog, so I am doing that from here on out! Let me know if it makes things easier for you to find these creators and outfits! That’s a side note. Now onto the Love YOU song list!
Keeping it simple today, I chose one song!
Patience (Freestyle) – Ray BLK
Guys, when I say I love Ray BLK, It’s not a joke… I love her. Her songs are just amazing and they tell stories, stories I can relate to… Patience is her latest freestyle, and it’s amazing! I love it… I’ve said that word a lot… I’m not stopping. I am taking snippets of the song, I love this whole song, everything about it, the beat, the rhythm, the lyrics (most especially), the artist, just everything is proper! Where ever you see “…” that means I’ve taken out some lines above or below this, just to limit how long this would’ve been because… it would’ve been the whole song! My favorite lines:
‘Cause everybody wants a portion
Of the Devil’s pie without caution
Don’t know its gonna cost a fortune
To sell your soul…
Ain’t rode the bus but trying to fly
They’re fading like we’re losing the sky
I’m fine waiting, for my payday
Baby don’t lose your pride ‘cause you’re deprived
That’s career suicide, to sign without your mind
Be on your grind, and take your time (uh-huh)
Pay no mind to the dollar sign
Don’t let the moolah make you blind
All that glitters isn’t gold
First, they love you then they don’t
Gave the world but you lost your soul
Now you’re losing your control
For some rocks and brand new clothes
Okay, okay, I pretty much put the whole song here, but I tried to limit it… I really did. These lines are so simple yet so deep because this is what is going on in our society today. Social media has made it possible for everyone to be someone, to be famous, to stand out… thank you, social media. At the same time, social media has allowed entry to a lot of other people too, people who are only good for you momentarily, people who give you temporary happiness and satisfaction. Money fades … fame fades… when all that is gone will you still be comfortable or at ease with who you’ve become and who the people around you are or who they’ve become as well?
Money is a great tool… if you’re not focusing on it 90% of the time. Focus on you, and what makes you happy (and do not say ‘Money makes me happy Mel!” because that’s some skurrry (scary) shit). Don’t lose your pride for some next shit that you know damn well you can do without but you’re not thinking with your head…
I have been posting a lot about spring must haves from IMVU in fashion and now I want to add to that. I want to share my spring mix with you guys, I will be posting 12 songs that I have been inspired by lately and they are all related to my new theme “Love YOU!” for this spring, I’m challenging you, to give yourself some love, starting this April. Stay away from the negative vibes, stay on the positive side, strive to be fruitful each day. Love your accomplishments, and strive to do a little more each day and see how far you get.

SZA – Drew Barrymore
I got into SZA very recently and by accident. I was listening to random playlists on my Apple Music and when I got to this song, I could relate to it a lot. My favorite verse is verse two:
“I get so lonely, I forget what I’m worth
We get so lonely, we pretend that this works
I’m so ashamed of myself think I need therapy-y-y-y
I’m sorry I’m not more attractive
I’m sorry I’m not more ladylike
I’m sorry I don’t shave my legs at night
I’m sorry I’m not your baby mama
I’m sorry you got karma comin’ to you
Collect and soak in it right”
I just love everything about these lines, it’s … everything… most of us go through this, maybe even guys, but it’s pretty such saying, FUCK IT! Majority of 2016 and even 2017 as it’s still going is all about women empowerment and feeling good in your own skin, man! I have heard these lines so much that I’m started thinking, “Why is this such a hard concept to grasp? Why can’t we just get it? LOVE YOURSELF DAMMIT!” Until I entered a place where I started to not love myself and I’m thinking “damn, loving yourself is not as easy as you want it to be… that’s work” and that’s where I am right now, so this song for me, it emphasizes that love of self!
Scuse Me – Lizzo
Along the lines of the ‘love yourself’ motto for this spring, this is another accidental artist I stumbled upon and I love this song! Favorite line: “I don’t need a crown to know that I’m a queen”
I don’t see nobody else
‘Scuse me while I feel myself x2
I mean these lines speak for themselves… the chorus is so important because for me majority of the time I don’t care much about what a stranger says about me, sometimes not even what the people I care about say about me, I usually don’t but lately I started to care and it started to affect me because I would make changes to my character or habits because someone didn’t like it or someone thought another type of character or habit will be best suited for me or they liked me doing that certain thing, and I would like to think I’m not the only one going through that you know… so yes. I’m started to revert back to my normal, nice and slowly so… ‘Scuse me while I feel myself!
The reason that line is my favorite is because again most people think you need to be accomplished and have certificates or recognition to be good at what you do! Rah! I know bare people who are so skilled and have been skilled since time but get minimal recognition for that… but they are happy, satisfied and humble. They know that they are amazing in their craft, they don’t need recognition from no next man to keep them confident and that’s what makes them QUEENS. I AM A QUEEN! YOU ARE A QUEEN! WE ARE QUEENS! we don’t need crowns, excel in what you know how to do. Be happy. Be Humble. (No, this does not mean people should walk over you, do not get it twisted).
More songs coming soon!
